When coming back from ACL surgery, you tend to lose strength
in you legs, agility and quickness. Lana McHugh was able to
train these things back into my game thus allowing me to
continue playing professional soccer. Her knowledge of what
each individual needs amazes me. I feel I owe much of my
recovery to Lana due to the fact that her weight training
made me much stronger and faster, while her individual sessions
helped me get my quickness and touch on the ball back. As a
professional, I could not of asked for a better trainer and I am
thankful for her coaching ethic and knowledge.

My goal - to play professional soccer. My setback - grade III MCL tear.
Having been blessed with natural speed/athletic ability, I knew I
needed fine tuning with my quickness and sport specific strength.
Because of Lana, I was able to overcome a potential career ending
injury in a 5 month period to become leading scorer at WUSA's
Combine/Draft and be drafted in the 6th round.

I've travelled the world for twenty five years with a prestigious multinational company,
living the great life doing everything to excess. First class travel, great hotels awesome
meals. Never a thought about exercise. Now in Atlanta with my own business for fifteen
years, early mornings, late nights, dinners etc., still no exercise. Several years ago my
wife connected with "Lana", I watched a magnificent change in her life and outlook and
thought maybe I had missed something in my life. The only exercise I had ever done was
four years in the Air Force forty years ago and then only what was required. Now I work out
three days a week, if I am away and miss a session it's like a day without sunshine. Lana
has changed my life, my wife's life and our daughter's life. We all work out three days a
week under her incredible dedicated supervision. Feel better, healthier and happier. A
blessing! in our life and a small financial investment in the "big picture", with a great
return!

I have always been active in sports – soccer, running, softball, mountain biking…etc. After having
kids at an older age I was finding it difficult to return to my pre-pregnancy fitness level. I started
working out with Lana as a 40th birthday present to myself and 3-1/2 months after the birth of my second
child. My oldest was not even 2 so you can imagine the toll it took on my body. Within weeks the weight
started falling off and my strength began returning. I lost 50 lbs. total after the birth of my 2nd child
and weigh less than when I became pregnant with my first child. I have had people come up to me and comment
on how thin and fit I am. After pushing my kids in a double stroller in a 5K road race (and placing 1st in
my age group) a young college girl came up to me and told me that I was her hero and she hoped she would be
like me when she got older (ouch) and had kids. By working out with Lana I was able to get my speed and
endurance back for soccer, running and have even competed in some adventure races for the first time this
past year. You are never too old or too busy to workout with Lana. The benefits are tremendous!

I first met Lana when she began coaching my daughter’s soccer team.  My daughter really improved her
soccer skills under Lana’s coaching/training.  She is playing high school soccer now and made the varsity
squad as a freshman.  She still comes back to Lana for coaching when she feels that there is an area of her
game that needs help.  In addition to Lana’s great soccer training for my daughter, I was very excited to
find out that she could not only help me hone my soccer skills but also help me increase my quickness,
strength, and endurance (which had started to wane at the age of 39 with 2 kids) for my other sporting
activities – tennis, softball, adventure racing, mountain biking, half marathons…I really look forward to
my workouts with Lana!  Her workouts are always challenging and varied.  I can not get that level of
training or results by just going to my fitness center.  I have gained so much from working out with Lana
that I have joined the Leukemia Team in Training and will be competing in my first Half – Ironman this
summer.  Lana has given me the confidence and ability to be competitive even at the age of 41.
